Dear Lifeway Church Family,

It has been brought to our attention that someone has sent a text message to a person in our church, impersonating me and asking for money/gift cards; And stated I would reimburse them.  

I did NOT send this text nor did I authorize anyone else to send a text like this.

This was not from my cell number or any number that the church uses to send text messages.

If you should receive any communication, such as texts, emails, robo-calls, etc. and it sounds questionable, do not respond to it and delete it immediately.  

These types of schemes are nothing new and have been happening to other pastors and ministries for years.   I would never solicit help in a general, mass text/email type campaign.   Should you receive anything that seems "out of the norm" from Lifeway Church please notify us immediately at info@lifeway.church

The world is full of people wanting to take advantage of those who would be naïve and gullible.  No weapon formed against Lifeway Church or its members will prosper in Jesus Name.
