Our New Covenant With God
After Jesus entered Jerusalem and before He went to the cross, He celebrated a Passover meal in an upper room with His disciples. During this “last supper” with His disciples, He announced a new covenant that God was establishing with man through His broken body and shed blood. When we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus in communion, the power of the new covenant is released in our lives. We rehearse all that He has done for us, renew our commitment, and strengthen our connection and communion with Him.
