Wise As Serpents

Overcoming the world involves overcoming temptation. "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." Recognizing temptation and how the god of this world operates is a big step in resisting the temptation to sin. We have been given wisdom, discernment, and power to overcome the world's temptations.
