Patriotism is not evil and America is not bad. Government comes from God and should be influenced by God. We have freedoms as Christians and Americans that we must contend for and defend. If we fail to contend for our freedoms we will lose them. Our job as Christians and Americans is to value what God values and stand to defend the truth.
