“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6, NKJV)
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33, AMP)
From this scripture we see that:
1. Jesus has forewarned us about the trials, tribulations, distress and frustrations of this world.
2. Jesus' words bring peace and confidence.
3. Jesus wants us to be of good cheer, by faith. (Not depending on the current circumstances)
4. In order to be of good cheer and full of joy we have to take courage, be confident in Him and His power.
5. Jesus overcame the world so that we can overcome the world.
6. We can overcome the world with the same power that Jesus overcame the world with.
Since God is not surprised about the things that are going on in the world neither should we. We are seeing the results of sin and the world turning their back on God. We have been forewarned.
God is not somehow causing any of this but He is definitely aware of everything that is going on and even knows the motives behind all of those involved. He told us in advance so that we could know that He knows and so we could take courage and take hold of His peace.
He knows what is going to happen next. And what will happen after that. He is eternal and lives in eternity. This is why we can trust Him and take His peace that passes all understanding so that it can guard our heart and mind.
I know that He knows and since He knows I can trust Him! Don't let your heart be troubled.
He also said that the "these things must come to pass but the end is not yet". The end is not yet. Keep trusting and keep moving forward.
Be assured today that God is already in our future working things out. He has gone before us and will always lead us in victory.
Because we have His peace we don't have to worry with the rest of the people on the earth. We live in the Kingdom of God where Jesus is our Prince of Peace, the joy of the Lord is our strength and our faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4, NKJV)
Say this:
The One who knows everything lives in me today. I have has peace because He has my back. He leads me and guides my every step. I trust the Lord because He is good and knows what is on the road up ahead. His peace guards my heart and my mind.
Pray this:
Lord, Thank You for Your Word that shows me and teaches me today how to trust You with my whole heart. Because I know that you know all things I commit my life to You and take hold of Your peace. Use me today to take Your peace to those around me that need Jesus. Show me how to walk in Your peace, love, grace and faith today. Live big through me! In Jesus Name!
