If We Prayed for Christian Leaders and Politicians

With all of the divisiveness in politics the Church has abandoned the Christian politicians. And actually turned it's back on them and blamed them for trying to do what's right.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1–4, NKJV)

We are responsible to pray for our leaders.

The world is not praying for the leaders. The unsaved in the world will elect those that they think that they can control and then stab them in the back when they don't do what they initially promised. There is no trust, honor, integrity or loyalty without God involved.

The first step to holding the line and resisting the opposing unrighteousness is to pray for those who have answered the call to lead us in the Church and in Government.

Government turns bad when God is pushed out.

“When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.” (Proverbs 29:2, NLT)

With all that is happening in the world, God still has Christian patriots in high places of government and influence. Those that have heard and heeded the call to keep our country free need our prayers and support.

We pray daily for those who are fighting for righteousness to rule:

  1. That they would be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  2. That they put God first in all that they do.
  3. That their spiritual eyes will be open so that they see and recognize their Holy calling every minute of every day.
  4. That the protection of God covers them and their family at all times.
  5. That they desire and receive wisdom from God to do the right thing according to the will and word of God.
  6. That they walk in supernatural boldness to say and do things instructed by God regardless of what people may think or say against them.
  7. That God would surround them with people of integrity who see the big picture and care for people and doing what is right more than looking for a position of power.
  8. That they would people of extreme integrity and pray before they speak and do what they say they are going to do.
  9. That they would practice 2 Chronicles 7:14 daily by humbling themselves and turning from their ways to surrender to God.

There is an extremely huge task before those who lead the Body of Christ and the Christian leaders who are in positions of government. They need our support and prayer! Let's commit to God and to them to do our part.

Pray and speak the word of God over them and watch God work! Stay consistent, fervent and patient because the tide is turning!
