Day 4 - God Sees You Forgiven

Do you realize that God Sees You Forgiven?

Forgiveness is powerful because it is a powerful expression of the love of God. And forgiving yourself and forgiving others has a lot to do with putting the past behind you.
Again, you can’t be all that God has made you to be in 2025 if you continue to hang on to things in your past. So we are actively dumping our past during these 21 days.

How’s your fasting going?
Are you intentionally setting aside something that your flesh wants to bring your body and soul under control? And are you spending more time in the word and prayer?
The time of fasting is a spiritual stretching that will bring great results.

Yesterday we actually exercised our faith in the action of repentance.
We took everything that had been weighting us down, all the sin and all the hurt and disappointment and weights in our life - wrote them down on slips of paper and took them to the Lord, put them in a "DUMP BOX" and either crushed it and disposed of it or burned it.
(If you didn’t view yesterday’s video you will need to go back and watch it.)

That was a powerful object lesson to help you take action and overcome the enemy’s roadblocks in your life.

Today we want to take the second step in the process of repentance by receiving His cleansing and restoration by faith.

So, today’s scripture is 1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9, NKJV)

I want to take moment and speak about this word "IF"

Some people have been told and have the wrong idea that God already forgives us of the things that we haven’t committed or repented of yet. No, there is a qualifying word in this verse - the word IF. If we do our part, He will do His part. Confession of your sin to God brings forgiveness of your sin by God. He can’t forgive what you don’t confess. It works the same with salvation. Just because you believe that Jesus rose from the dead doesn’t make you born again, you must confess Him as your Lord.

Today’s word is CLEANSE - When we confess our sin, He cleanses us.

1 John 1:9 is a powerful scripture that becomes a shield for us as we resist the attack from the enemy about our past.

The enemy throws the fiery dart at us but we extinguish it with the shield of faith which is the word of God.

Receiving the love and forgiveness of God is done by faith.

We believe that 1 John 1:9 is true therefore, we confess our sin to God. Out loud with our voice in prayer to Him.

Forgiveness is not a feeling and forgiveness does not produce a feeling. It is an act of faith.

Now we may feel better after we confess our sin because we know that we have done the word of God.

The enemy loves to remind you about your past. He wants to make you believe that you cannot be forgiven of it.

Because he was cast out of heaven for his sin against God…and does not have a chance of repentance and forgiveness.

The devil’s destiny is eternal death and damnation.\

So, you may ask, "Why do I keep remembering the sin? Why are there vivid images of what happened?"

We must renew our mind with the word. Romans 12:1-2 tells us about this.

The cleansing comes as you continue to renew your mind with His word and confessing His word over yourself.

Say this: "I am a child of the King. I am forgiven by God and my Heavenly Father loves me. I have already confessed my sin to God and He has forgiven me and cleansed me by His blood and through His word."
