Day 14 - Daily Meditation Leads To Revelation

Giving yourself to the Word daily will change the way that think, period.

Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

How often do you like to eat?

Is this a fair question in the middle of a 21 day period of prayer and fasting? SURE IT IS!

Let's think about how well we treat our body for a few seconds. The world that we live in today is so geared to feeding our bodies the things that our bodies want...and quickly. It is hard for us to miss a meal because finding something to eat is so easy. Fast food is convenient and readily available.

Do we feed our spirits as much as we need to? and as often as we need to be fed?

In order to grow spiritually we have to feed our spirits spiritual food. The Word of God ingested personally and on a daily basis is the greatest way to grow in our devotion to the Lord.

The Word of God is God speaking to us. When we study the Word, the Holy Spirit Himself hovers over us to bring a revelation of the Word that we are meditating on.

Meditating on the Word of God is like chewing and chewing on your food to get all of the nutrients out of what you are eating. You would not take a bite of steak and just swallow the whole piece without chewing it, right?

It takes time to meditate on the Word of God in order to understand it spiritually. You have to give time and attention to it. God told Joshua the importance of meditation of the Word of God.

Joshua 1:8 (NLT)
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Daily meditation is not an option for those that want to be more deeply devoted. We must...

Confession:
"I make time for daily meditation of the Word of God. I keep it before my eyes day and night. I receive the Word of God in order do it. I make it a daily habit and I know that because I choose to put it in me constantly I am growing spiritually.  I feed myself God's Word and I expect to have good success this year."
