Day 20 - Expecting To Receive

Good morning it is Saturday day 20 of our 21 days of prayer and fasting. We are winding down our 21 days but actually, we are still generating our faith. We are strengthening our faith and expecting the best as we go to God's word and put our faith and trust in him.
I want to get right to the scripture this morning so look at acts chapter 3. Let's take a look at the man at the gate beautiful.

So we're very familiar with this account of the miraculous healing at the gate called Beautiful in Acts chapter 3. Peter and John we're going to a prayer meeting and they saw the man that had been laying there or sitting there for a long time. This man was lame from his mother's womb. Which means he had never walked. The only way that he could get money was to sit there every day and expect people to feel sorry for him. Until that day that Peter and John came up going to the temple.

Something was different that day. For some reason he was expecting the best that day. For some reason, his faith was ignited that day. We can be sure that Peter and John had come by that gate before. They had probably seen that man sitting there before. But today even Peter and John expected the best. Their faith was high.

In verse four the Bible says Peter fixed his eyes on the man and said look at us. So the man gave Peter and John his attention expecting to receive something from them. He was expecting and Peter was expecting. And most of all God was expecting!

It was at that very moment that the same power that raised Christ from the dead worked through Peter's hand, and in that lame man's body to make his muscles and bones alive again. He got up and walked and leaped and praised God!

I want us to see that God's provision and God's power to heal flows when we expect.

And we expect because we believe. Faith is involved.

Faith is powerful because faith connects with God. God uses our faith to produce His will in our life. It is our connection with Him. It is the language He speaks. And it is the language that He expects us to speak. Like Jesus said to the lady with the issue of blood, "daughter your faith has made you whole." It was her connection of faith to the power that flowed from Him that cured her body.

It was the faith and expectation of this lame man and the faith and expectation of Peter that worked a miracle and a healing in this man's body.

So today, where's your faith?
What are you expecting God to do?
Are you filled with expectation today or do you think it's just another normal day… Nothing different… Just the same thing?

What do you need God to do for you? What are you expecting? What does the word say about your situation? How strong is your faith and expectation that God can and will do the impossible for you?

Your faith will work on any challenge or any situation that you're facing today!

I know it will work because God gave it to you. The faith that God gave to you will work.

I believe that and I want you to believe that.

Stand strong, believe God, speak to the mountain and command it to move in Jesus name!

Have a faith filled day.
