Philippians 2:3–4 (NKJV)
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
When we turn to God we turn away from selfishness and begin to love others with His love. The glory of God shines through the love that we have for one another. A key for the love of God to flow through you is to "get you off your mind". Thinking about others before you think about yourself is not just something nice that you try to do every now and then, it requires the power and grace of God and is premeditated love.
Thinking with the mind of Christ puts others in your life in a valuable place. People become more precious to the one who is moved with the compassion of the Lord. When you stayed filled up with the love of God you will never look down on people again.
Just ask the Lord, "How can I bless so-and-so?" (Fill in the so-and-so with a person's name.) Be ready for His answer because He has been waiting for you to ask the question!
The more that you exchange your thoughts for His thoughts the easier it becomes to turn from selfishness and put others first and "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Isaiah 55:9 says that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. To experience a transformation of our mind we must lay down our thoughts and take up His thoughts.
Philippians 2:3–4 (The Message)
Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.
Challenge:
If you are in a line today in the store or in traffic, let someone else go before you. Practice preferring others.
Say this:
I was born to love as Jesus loves. God loves me so much that I must love others with His love. I purposefully exchange my thoughts with His thoughts. I choose to get me off my mind today.
Pray this:
"Heavenly Father, move through me today with Your love as I think of others before I think of myself. I turn from selfishness and release Your power and Your love through my words and actions. Thank you for filling me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can be a doer of Your Word. I allow Your glory to shine through me and will give all glory to You. In Jesus' Name."

Father God, today and everyday, empty me of me and fill me up with you! I need a refueling of Your Spirit daily, Lord. Thank you Father, for your everlasting faithfulness!🙌â¤

Thank you for your word PB!
Thank you Mary!
Pastor Bruce, these messages and prayer's are so rewarding and thought provoking. I can't wait to read the next days post. God has gifted you so much, with the written word for God and with God. I want to read all of them again. I would like a copy of every day, when we finish this series.
Thank you so much for putting your heart and soul into God's work and being the servant you are.
