I’m glad that you are taking 5 minutes to connect with us and take another step on our 21 day journey to RESET our life here in January of 2025.
RESET a computer means to power off and clean out the memory…we are putting the past in the past.
You know that fact that you reading this blog post proves that you are rare…and special. Many people know that they should be going to church and that they should be praying but never make the effort to take action. I would guess that it is probably 2 out of 10 people that actually do what they know they should do spiritually. And you are one of the 2 and I am grateful to God for you.
We have been discovering how powerful the blood of Jesus and the word of God are to cleanse us from sin, weights and even the memories and feelings from the past. God wants us to walk free from anything that would try to hold us in the past.
As we woke up this morning it was beginning to snow outside. This is a great day, because I love to look at the snow. And I’m also glad I don’t live in a place where there is snow on the ground for any length of time in the winter, but it is nice for a day or two.
The snowfall is beautiful and as the snow accumulates it covers everything with a bright shining white coat! What a wonderful thing that God created, the snow.
As I was looking at the snow and noticing how white and brilliant it was, I had to squint my eyes as it was so shiny.
The phrase from the word of God came up in my heart. “As white as snow”.
Then I heard myself say, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow
That was a quote from Isaiah 1:18
Isaiah 1:18 NKJV "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
As I meditated on that scripture and looked at the snow I heard the Lord say on the inside of me. (Not audibly but in my heart.)
"I had to take something scarlet to make your sin white!"
And immediately I thought about the precious blood of Jesus and the power in the blood to cleanse sin!
God created us to be brilliant and radiate with His glory. But our sin keeps us from shining. We need cleansing by the power of His blood to shine with His glory like He wants us to.
That of course lead me to look up other scriptures with the phrase “as white as snow”.
Here are a few more
Daniel 7:9 NLT I watched as thrones were put in place and the Ancient One sat down to judge. His clothing was as white as snow, his hair like purest wool. He sat on a fiery throne with wheels of blazing fire,
Matthew 28:3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.
Mark 9:3 NKJV His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
Rev 1:14 His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire.
Here’s the point; even though we have all sinned in the past and at times still miss it today, God has provided a way to bring out His glory and brilliance through us when we apply the blood and His word. When we repent, receive His cleansing and obey Him, He makes us to shine again.
He has cleansed your past and made you free to walk into the future with His brilliant glory! He made you to shine!
Reflect the glory of Jesus today by cleansing yourself with His word!
You are shining brighter than the snow!
