Mark 2:4–5 (NKJV)
And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
Jesus saw the faith of the paralyzed man...and his friends. Faith is a supernatural force that can be seen. It is excited, joyful, expecting and ready to act in obedience to the Word of God. When Jesus saw their faith He responded with forgiveness and healing for the paralyzed man.
The Words that He spoke to the man where filled with life and came straight from the heart of the God of miracles. (Because Jesus only spoke what He heard the Father say) Jesus forgave the man's sin, broke the power of shame and condemnation and quickened (made alive) the man's mortal body. In an instant his ability to walk was restored so Jesus commanded him to rise up and take up his bed and walk home. The man believed it, received it and did just what Jesus said. No questions asked. Immediate obedience. The will of God in heaven was done on earth.
Faith always has corresponding actions. When you truly believe you will act on it. If we hesitate and draw back we are giving place to fear. Giving place to fear is being double minded and no one that is double minded receives anything from God. Fear paralyzes while faith sets you free.
Jesus is still looking for faith today. The eyes of the Lord are searching the whole earth in order to show Himself strong on behalf of those who trust in Him with their whole heart. (2 Cron. 16:9) And when He returns He will be looking for faith. (Luke 18:8)
Challenge:
Examine yourself to see if you are in faith. Begin to write confessions from your heart (not concentrating on which book, chapter and verse you find it.) Then go back and see how accurate it lines up with scripture. Test yourself on what you believe.
Say this:
I have the faith of God. I live by faith and not by sight. When Jesus returns He will find me full of faith, walking in love and obedience. I have faith for extreme miracles. Jesus can see my faith.
Pray this:
"Lord, You are the author and finisher of my faith. You gave me the faith that I have so I know that it always works. I am believing and expecting miracles everyday. I am growing in faith and strong in faith giving glory to God. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world. In Jesus Name!"
