Pray First

Seeking His Kingdom first means praying and connecting to God before we do anything else.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

When we seek God in prayer the first thing in the morning it sets the tone for the rest of the day.

When we seek Him first we are declaring that our relationship with Him is our top priority and that we truly are following Jesus as His disciple.

We are giving Him our first and best when we make a sacrifice of our time and spend time in prayer and meditation of His word. When we give Him the first we can expect Him to bless the rest of our time. He will cause us to be more productive and accomplish more than we could have if we slept the extra 30 minutes.

By focusing on Jesus first we will se the "things of this world growing strangely dim" in the light of His glory and grace.
