Whole Hearted Faith

Trying to make sense out of faith results in a divided heart.

Proverbs 3:5 NKJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding

AMP - Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

GNB - Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.

The Message - Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.

Faith is a matter of the heart and not the head.

This is where a large number of sincere people seem to get hung up. The mind wants to understand everything before we are willing to believe with the heart.

The Lord most certainly created the mind to receive and process information. It has it's place. But the mind was not created to believe with. You cannot trust God with your mind. What you think you know may not be the full truth.

Faith is a spiritual substance that comes from hearing the Word and it resides in the heart. When we trust the Lord with all of our heart, faith is in control.

If we begin to rely on our physical senses and attempt to understand our situation with our mind, we draw back from fully trusting God and we begin to see things through our natural eyes.

A faith filled heart has the ability to see like God sees, speak like God speaks and receive the promises that God has promised. Anything less than a heart full of faith is considered to be double-minded.

Confession:
"I have heard the Word of God and am fully convinced that God is my source and supply. Faith floods and fills my heart and I choose to believe God with my whole heart. I see like God sees and I speak like God speaks because I trust in the Lord with all my heart and do not rely on what I can understand. I believe God from the bottom of my heart. I can only put all of my trust in my Heavenly Father."
