if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
You are responsible to pray for your nation. We are not waiting on God to do something about the United States of America, He has been waiting on the Church. Rise up!
Prayer is the essential key to experiencing the will of God here on earth.
We have an opportunity to make a difference by observing the National Day of Prayer this Thursday - May 5. This day has been formally designated by our government since 1952 and has been observed in one way or another since 1775. The United States of America was founded by people of prayer.
God is not finished with the United States of America and the United States of America is not finished with God. As long as the body of Christ is still on the earth the assignment of this country will be to allow people to freely worship God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Prayer to God is non-denominational. It doesn't matter what denominational persuasion that you have when we come together and get on our knees to pray, God hears and answers.
God has empowered the body of Christ to bring in the final harvest of souls from the earth. We can and must do what He has anointed us to do. It is always time to pray and do the work of the ministry. Let's not grow weary in well doing for this is due season and we will reap the "precious fruit of the earth" for His glory.
Let your voice be heard and be bold about your faith in God. Let people know that "In God You Trust".
Challenge:
Find a place to gather with other believers this week to pray for our nation with boldness and fervency.
Confession:
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. As for me and my church, we will serve the Lord. As for me and my country, we will serve the Lord. I choose to believe that the glory of the Lord is coming on the United States of America and that days of revival are upon us. People all over this country are being swept into the body of Christ. A Great Awakening is happening now!
Prayer:
"Father, I do humble myself and seek Your face. I do turn from sin and repent. I pray that the effort of the body of Christ in this country to honor You and worship You tomorrow would be heard around the world. I join with the rest of the body of Christ and declare that Your will in heaven be done on earth here in the USA. Let Your glory rise on the church and the great harvest of people come to know Jesus as Lord. In Jesus Name!"
