The Body Needs You

1 Corinthians 12:27 (NKJV)
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Romans 12:4–6 (NKJV)
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them...

Jesus has done all that He can do to make us part of His body and to make His body united. The rest is up to us.

You need to know how important you are to Him. You need to see yourself in Him. That is the key to walking in unity.

When you see how much that Jesus did for you in order to make you a part of His body it will affect your love walk. You can get to a place where nothing that anyone could do would ever offend you...because you see your value in Jesus.

Unity with other believers and walking in the love of God is more important than your feelings and what someone said about you or did to you.

People purposefully tried to offend Jesus and He could not be offended because He knew who He was to the Father. He would not accept their offense and choose to see them through the eyes of the Father. If Jesus did this, so can we. We have the same Holy Spirit living in us.

You matter to God. He created you and said you are VERY GOOD! He is counting on you seeing yourself the very same way that He sees you, through the blood of Jesus. He wants you to know that the rest of the body of Christ needs you.

If you have been offended by another member of the body of Christ in the past, lay it down, refuse to keep it, forgive that person and repent before God for holding the offense. Allow the love of God to flow to you, in you and through you again. Be free from offense today.

Love loves you. You are the apple of God's eye. Do not let anything come between you and another member of the body of Christ. You choose.

Challenge:
Ask the Lord who you should send a love offering to today. Then do it.

Confession:
I am made by God to walk free from all offense. I choose to love everyone at all times. I will not receive offense. I am a member of the body of Christ and belong in the body. I choose to love because Love loves me.

Prayer:
"Lord, I repent for holding offense in the past. I release any and all animosity towards everyone right now. I let go of all offense now. I receive Your forgiveness and allow Your love to flow through me now. Show me how to love others as You love me. I will obey all that You tell me to do today. Thank You for the grace to be a doer of Your word. In Jesus Name"
